This activity should be titled, “City Hall and Park”. There aren’t much by way of “gardens” and “sunken” is a bit overstated. But, this is still a very pleasant stop. The City Hall building is magnificent. Docent led tours are available. But if you don’t...More

The sunken gardens are directly across from the amazing, historic Atascadero City Hall. On Wednesdays there is an old-fashioned farmers market where one can purchase locally grown fruits, vegetables, honey, and more.

It is a great place to go watch kids play soccer or hunt Easter eggs. Great to walk around. Be sure to visit the City museum if you get the chance.

We were lucky to visit the first day of the Wednesday Market. Hope it continues! Also treated to a performance by a local ballet school on the steps of City Hall. Way to go, Atascadero!
