We went on a weekday in Fall and there were very few people in the water. The ocean was glassy and visibility at 100'. The highlight was swimming between two big sea bass, about 4 to 5 feet long.

We are regular snorkelers, and thought the power snorkel sounded amazing. The kelp forest and power snorkel were a unique and fun experience, but we were in a huge group (30+ snorkelers), 9 of which were power snorkelers, in a very small area. Told to...More

This was the first time we did snorkeling, and it was so serene and beautiful! Diving Catalina is a company that operates out of their rental trucks, but it is a good one though. They make you watch necessary safety videos and provide you the...More

You can definitely snorkel on a day trip, it's really easy even for a beginner and there is a lot to see. You can do an intro to scuba tour without being certified which can also be done in a day trip but scuba is a bit more... More
