Old-fashioned fun

Old-fashioned fun with skee ball, arcade games, shooting arcade, a couple lanes of bowling, and a photo booth.

It's your "typical" arcade with multiple video and arcade games. It's not super big, but gave the kids some time to play around. There is a "bowling" alley inside; only two lanes. It's $5 per game, but it's like a half-sized version of regular bowling...balls and pins are smaller. Kids enjoyed earning the tickets and redeeming prizes. A nice break... More

Probably the place we spend most our time in Catalina... Great food, fun bowling, and great arcade games for kids and adults alike! Heading back this Father's Day weekend for our yearly Catalina trip!

The Avalon Arcade is an awesome place to relax, have a delicious, well-priced meal, enjoy fun games with the family, as a couple, with adult friends, or even on your own. The place is modern, happy, airy, clean, bright and close to other great shops and the water (not dingy and stale like some arcades). The bowling is super fun... More

We ate here twice. We had already spent enough in food and we wanted a little something before bed. The Chinese chicken salad was delicious and the next night we had the chicken tacos. It was just enough for us. The manager was very friendly and he helped us get set up to bowl. He even encouraged us as we... More

Good small arcade. Nice to have restrooms, food drinks, table hockey, skee ball, bastketball, traditional and digital shooting galleries, ticket redemption prizes and driving videogames all in one place. The bowling was a let down though. Only two lanes with strangely small balls and the pins attached to strings. I guess having an underground gutter ball machinery was not feasible.... More

Arcades are always fun and most of them have a certain flair. So does this one and it fits perfectly to the flair of the lovely island. Food is ok for what it is, just not enough different Cabinets, almost no classic ones (I think Guitar Hero and Jurassic Park where the "oldest ones") but for an hour or two,... More

The bowling was a fun time, little expensive for one game ($5). But still worth a stop in. The chicken tacos were amazing too, and for only $2 it's worth getting two or three.

We had chips & salsa while bowling and playing in the arcade. The staff was nice. We took a pizza to go and it was pricey and awful. The crust tasted like and had the texture of notebook paper. We threw it out and walked to Antonios to grab a slice.
