While staying at the Avila Village Inn we walked into Avila Beach on the trail. It's a very peaceful trail through a wooded area and then along a golf course. Quite a few people were using the trail - mostly people walking. The trail is flat and a very easy walk.

Beautifully shaded with ancient trees. Its a nice wide path to accommodate walkers, runners and cyclists. An advantage for this paved trail is its not muddy due to the recent winter rains the area is experiencing.

Went for a run while staying in the area. Beautiful trail. A little bit of everything, nice trees, beautiful golf course and ends at the beach.

Lovely walk behind and along a golf course and river. Well marked, with scenic info along the way. A darling deli sits at the halfway point but most people only go this far. Easy walk or stroll for seniors.

It's a long trail through beautiful landscape and tree lined. It's very relaxing and calming to bike or walk.

My husband and I kept hearing about and seeing signs for the Bob Jones Trail. We wanted to take a bike ride and thought the trail would be a good place to do so. Little did we know that it would be one of the most beautiful, breathtaking trails we would ever ride on. While biking on the trail we... More

This path is long enough for a good walk or run and you can turn around anytime you want if you wish to go shorter. Very pleasant and off the main road.

I love riding bikes down this trail. It's fun to walk and take dogs too but a majority of it is paved and doesn't take as long on a bike. A cool thing to do on a nice sunny day. Drops you off right out of the golf course at the beach.

About 2.5 miles each way (depending where you start), lovely paved trail with very gentle incline by the golf course.

This a great resource - the trail is paved and leads from a park & ride spot, right to Avila beach. The trail has some great view points and some interesting information boards along the way
