Many ways up Aspen mountain may rival this 6-place conveyance on a cable, but they entail walking or snow mobile and take more than 11 minutes to traverse 3K vertical feet....Never never a long wait and always extremely well-managed.

The Gondola is perfect opportunity to size up the mountain and tighten your boots and check your gear, while making new friends.

This is not a small gondola like Snowbird where I usually ski. This baby is a bit scary. you are going to be off the ground really far. Time stands still.

We got on the gondola in the winter just to see the views. We were not skiing. It was amazing. Just going up and then back down was worth it. Definitely recommend trying it even if you aren't skiing. The views are just amazing.
