Love Buttermilk, the trails are family friendly and not intimidating at all. The staff is first rate. There is a different vibe at Buttermilk that we love. Will always spend a couple of days at the mountain.

This is a small and friendly ski area. The other choices in Aspen are the main area in town, and the very large Snowmass Village area which is more like a traditional Colorado ski resort. ALL the runs in the Aspen area are too difficult....More

Our family visited Buttermilk on a "learn to ski" trip. It was a great location for learning the ropes. Everything we needed from friendly instructors to equipment rentals was right onsite at the Main area.

This mountain is NOT to be missed if you are an intermediate skier who wants to cruise and enjoy the mountain views. There were NO lines and everywhere you look you can see the Maroon Bells and other gorgeous scenery.

Even though I grew up in the area, this is the first time I've taken my oldest daughter (16) skiing at Buttermilk. This is probably my favorite place for laid back skiing with a friend (or daughter!) The folks here are the nicest around and...More
