Whether you bike or walk, this is a beautiful trail. There are many trails running around Aspen. This is not one you can see from the road. From the vicinity of the Visitor’s Center near the John Denver Sanctuary, this trail runs all the way...More

We checked into our B&B in Glenwood Springs and borrowed two of their bikes to ride on this trail. It's very scenic and you can take it all the way to Aspen, if you have the time and fortitude!

I did about a three mile walk on this trail but decided that it was a little too sunny and boring to just walk for a long distance so the next day, I rode a bike for a good ways toward Snowmass. This trail is...More

This is a family friendly trail - gentle grades the whole way - slightly downhill to north out of town. We road it as part of a loop, coming from Woody Creek , back into town. Part of the trail is hard packed dirt but...More

This is nice, mostly level paved trail that starts in the city and can connect with other trails (some paved, some dirt). Beautiful scenery along the river. It is also a bike trail and dog friendly (dogs on leash).

We picked up the trail in downtown Aspen - specifically behind the post office on Puppy Smith Street (such a cute name!) where there is free parking. We walked 8 miles to Woody Creek where we had lunch at their infamous tavern. The menu is...More

You will pass by a few towns. We stopped and had lunch in Basalt- that is where I would check for hotels and B&Bs...kind of a mid point on the trail. We stopped for coffee @ Bonfire Roasters in Carbondale, another cute town.
