With over 800 acres of water surface, Aurora Reservoir is one of the city's largest park and open space sites. Named by Westword as "The Best Park for Fishing" in 2012, the reservoir provides multi-use recreation and serves as a drinking water storage facility for Aurora.

Went on a weekday and it was not very crowded. Took kids to the beach area where they had a blast. Will be back

While walking at the park we were nearby the resevoir at many points. There were people swimming and picnicking. There were also boaters and private watercraft enjoying the water.

The Aurora reservoir has a nice little beach and roped off swim area for kids. I had a number of shelters and a playground. There are also paddle boards etc to rent for extra.

Great space to go play volleyball and enjoy the sun with friends. Big park and great for picnics and such!

We went here for a work-family appreciation day. Large parking lots with a clean beach. Areas to cook food over a fire pit and clean bathrooms. If you bring a bike try to ride the trails that go all the way around the reservoir. If...More

We have enjoyed many walks around this reservoir! It is convenient but far enough out of the city to be pleasant due to not much vehicle noise.

No camp sites or tent sites are available. This is more of a day use park.
