Beautiful unspoilt spot on the top of Anna Maria Island- park at Rod n Reel Pier and enjoy the 500 yard walk along the beach!

Definitely not a snorkelling area! The currents are very powerful as it is at the confluence of Tampa Bay and the Gulf. You only have to take one look at the water to see how strong the current is.
