We visited this park in September 2017. The ranger was very informative and the walk through the gardens and on the grounds is quite lovely

This is a beautiful restored home. It gives you a lot of insight to Apalachicola. The care taker gives you a good run down and really enjoys his job. Take the time and go visit.

We Almost skipped going through the house( time) but so glad we went through! The park ranger was amazing and did an awesome job taking us back to the early 1900's. The house has original buildings and a small botanical garden. Well worth the $2.00...More

Ranger Mike was great. He gave us the history of the house and the town. He was very knowledgeable. He talked with us after the tour and shared his passion of this little town.

The Orman House tour offers a great overview of how the Apalachicola economy developed to move southern cotton and other goods. Time well spent.

Ranger Mike welcomed us right away and was so easy to listen to as he brought the place alive with personal stories from his interaction with the Orman family.

If you like history you will love this house and stories from Apalach and it's beginnings. Beautifully restored and incredible furniture from the wealthy of 1800's The tour guide was great too.
