The Arcadia Opera House, built in 1906, is a museum and enormous antique shop. It houses an amazing collection of historical items and the theater is in near original condition. Several paranormal investigations have taken place there and the Opera House is a well know haunted location.

It was an interesting visit in an old opera house. I wondered what it was like in it's heyday. A mix of art available for sale, clothing, and assorted items to look at in the rooms mixed in with local items of interest. I did buy something and the owner was willing to discount it. Worth the stop.

It looks like years ago someone shut down the theater, pushed a lot of thespian material against the wall and said" Hey ! Let's sell some stuff outta here". I love this place. it's an antique shop, an attraction and tour all in one place. You could all day in here if you wanted to. I go thru and try... More

Like most of Arcadia which has been repurposed to an antique heaven, so too has this early 1900 Opera House. The original stage is still in tact, on hand are the early film projectors with which 30s/40s movies were shown here, and original seats. Most of the very large Opera House is now filled with antiques for an interesting hunt.... More

We thought we couldn't miss the opportunity to see the space rebuilt in 1906. It was full of a wide range of antiques and stuff. It lacked high quality items with mostly items of regular American Life--not a whole lot different than the 20 plus other Antique stops in Arcadia, Fl. Unfortunately the place has not been well cared for... More

This is a great place to visit, even if you aren't an antique collector. The entrance could be an obstacle for many people. It is a very steep and long walk up stairs. If you can do it, iy is worth the effort. Many interesting rooms full of treasures. The old opera stage is interesting. Worth the effort.

Wonderful, Wonderful Place. We loved it, James I believe was his name, answered all of our questions, even gave us a little bit of history. This was our second time here and I would definitely return.

I lived in Arcadia in the 80s for 10 years. Its changed but not for the better. Many people in North Port and PC and Punta Gorda make fun of Arcadia call it little Mexico. Its went down hill a lot over the past 20 years. Used to be a nice town. The old historic part of town used to... More

We are staying nearby and saw reviews of Arcadia on trip advisor so made a detour on a trip out. Arcadia has some nice old buildings which is a change from the normal strip malls. Lots of antiques shops to browse, the opera house has a number of vendors contained within so quite a lot of choice. We visited on... More

We stopped in Arcadia and checked out the antique shops and this one had some nice things. Would like to try to get there again sometime.
