The experience was pretty nice. There were definitely sharks and rays present. The program was controlled well. The guides were knowledgeable and wanted you to have fun.

OMG....best experience ever. Swam with the sharks and stingrays. The guide goes down...grabs a shark and let's you pet it. The bottom is smooth like a dolphin, but the top is rough like sandpaper. The guide feeds the shark and you get maybe 50 sharks...More

We went here as part of our snorkeling day tour. Was a great place to swim with the small sharks. Staff on our boat were also knowledgable and friendly. We went through Ambergris Divers.

This is was the second part to our snorkel trip with Hol Chan. Great fun to pull up and see the rays and sharks just 'schooling' around the boat. Very safe but still exciting to be there in the marine preserve with sharks!!!

I wasn't sure what to expect, after seeing the pictures online I couldn't imagine getting in the water with that many fish! But it really was a cool experience, our guides were knowledgeable and we saw a lot of sting rays and sharks

We enjoyed our Expereince swimming in close proximity to several nurse sharks. They are beautiful creatures and give you no reason to fear them inspite of their size and being in their element.

That would be totally up to whoever is running the boat trip out to the marine park. My guess is that they'd want to know what kind of shape the person was in and how strong a swimmer they are.
