This is the second trip I have taken to Altum Ha and it doesn't disappoint. Our guide Daton Ramos really knows the Mayan history and it is apparent that he proud of his country and its culture. As with the first time I went to Altun Ha, it was quiet and not overrun with the cruise ship crowds (no offence... More

For those of you that don't have time or want to make the long haul to Tikal, taking the Altun Ha tour is a great alternative. It can also be great if you combine it with some other activities such as the ones provided by Belize Jeep Adventures for the Altun Ha Jeep Tour that allows you to Visit Altun... More

We booked a tour with Belizean Excursions I think they were called. $40 pp included a ride in a minivan through town and country to get to Altun Ha. Our guide was excellent. There are several ancient structures there. We walked on top of two of them. Great photo opps. There is a nice trail down to a pond where... More

We were in Belize on a cruise stop and booked this excursion through Reggie's Tours (they are awesome). It's a nice ride to the ruins and the visit is well worth it. You don't have to climb them to enjoy the visit, but if you are able you should climb!! Beautiful.

I'm glad we visited this site. The ruins were impressive and well excavated. The information on site was clear and accessible. The ruins are not too steep or difficult so anyone can scale them to the top. The grounds were well kept and easy to navigate. If you have a free afternoon you can't go wrong with a visit.

Loved it! I'm 8 months pregnant and I only made it up two but the view was one I will never forget, it cost 10 usd to get in per person so not a bad price at all!

We came here on an excursion from Belize City. Tour was booked through Royal Caribbean and was quite good. It took about an hour to reach the site, and our guide did a good job telling us about the sites along the road, the history of the area, and the history of Altun Ha and the Mayan people. Several of... More

Guess it is always "hot" in Belize which can make visits exhausting. It was for us. There were nine coaches parked when we visited in addition to other solo travellers, so it was busy. However, the site is large and seems to cope well with large numbers and, apart from being irritated by scrambling groups over the temples, one doesn't... More

Altun Ha is the name of an ancient Mayan city in Belize, located about 30 miles north of Belize City, in Rockstone Pond Village. My husband and I were looking to fill a few hours before our flight home, and prebooked an excursion with Reggie’s Tours. It was a perfect choice! The drive was about 1 hour from the Belize... More

We took this tour as part of our cruise. It was a 4 hour tour which took almost 3 hours of travel time. We were not rushed at the site, however more time would have been greatly appreciated. The staff was great and the ability to explore and climb on the ruins was a plus. Very clean restrooms, but not... More
