Actun Tunichil Muknal “Cave of the Stone Sepulcher” or ATM Cave as it is locally known is located in the heart of the Belizean Rainforest. A 45 minutes hike to the cave, You will cross the Roaring River on three occasions and the return hike on that same trail. This cave offers a unique, eerie experience as it was once use by the Ancient Maya. It hosts a variety of skeletons, the most famous is the Crystal Maiden, ceramics and stone tools. My friend and I had a great time exploring the cave and seeing the ancient remains. Our tour guide was informative, funny and a great guide! One of our best experiences in Central America - highly recommend!

Don't even think about skipping this. Belize has one of the more wonderous, mezmerizing, wet, muddy, ancient, mysterious, adventurous hikes you can find anywhere. Best day in Belize!

I booked through our accomodation which was Cha Creek but there are several tour operators you can choose from. We paid about 200 each I would need to check to find the exact price as was discounted through our accomodation. More
