Unless you are an absolute expert on plants and spices you will gain a lot of knowledge from this tour! We had a very informative tour guide and were educated on many spices including vanilla, black pepper, allspice, cinnamon, mace, cacao and more. They also talk alot of the other plants on the farms beautiful property. You will get to... More

What an experience! We learned so much about spices on our tour. Now I know why vanilla is so expensive!! The beautiful tractor drove us around and the tour guide taught us about so many different type of plants. Beautiful and educational! Enjoyed the restaurant food too!!

We visited this spice farm as a combined Mayan ruin/spice farm excursion through our cruise ship. This was the. Eat part of the trip. Upon arriving we were given a bathroom break and drink then we boarded a tractor pulled trolley for a tour around the spice farm. Our guides were very informative and knowledgeable about the spices grown on... More

Didn't know what to expect and was very pleasantly surprised about how little I knew about spices. We our guide was knowledgeable and very friendly I was amazed at how much work went into the things we take for granted everyday especially the vanilla bean. I will never complain about high prices for spices ever again!!! We had a long... More

This was a really cool tour. We went on this after going to Num Li Punit. We entered and had a small lunch and then boarded some tractors that brought us around the property. The guides were very interesting and knowledgeable about the plants being grown on the property. I had never seen a cocoa plant (thought it was just... More

We chose this as and excursion on our Cruise. The part that made this trip worthwhile was the guide. It was an hour bus ride to the destination, and she filled us in on the local culture as we were passing through. The reason I would give this a 3 star, and not more, was that while the actual Spice... More

It was a great experience at Belize Spice Farm. We really enjoyed the Cashew Chicken with Rice we never had tasted before, combined with very tasty veggie. For desert a Bacardi Cake absolutely delicious, couldn't ask for more! Great value for your money! Also a perfect place for weddings, conferences and other events. We stopped at Belize Spice Farm as part of a tour with "Taste Belize". We'd been looking forward to learning more about spices, since not too many are grown in the north central US, and we weren't disappointed! Our walking tour was an hour or two. The time went quickly, so I'm unsure how long we actually walked. The 6... More

After reading the reviews, we stopped for a quick tour. The grounds are well groomed and there are a moderate variety of spice plants. Most of the spice plants were imported from India and are not native. This was a little disappointing but we did get to view the plants and were given descriptions of how the spices grow and... Thanks For the review. Spices we have introduced , Bl Pepper, cardamom,Cinnamon, Vanilla were not available or planted in Belize when we started the Farm. We have introduced these Spice plants to Belize. Now they are acclimatized, thriving and many people have started similar farms. Starting a Spice industry is our contribution to diversification of Farming in belize More
