Aside from the emergency on board for which the company was totally unprepared, despite making us buy extra insurance to cover emergencies, THE CREW WAS PUTTING NITROX IN THE TANKS OF DIVERS WHO WERE NOT NITROX CERTIFIED WITHOUT TELLING THEM! They did so repeatedly and...More

What a spectacular trip. Every detail of the trip on the Argo was well thought out and perfectly executed. Service couldn't have been friendlier, food delicious and the diving so beautiful it exceeded all expectations. Manuelita, dirty rock (whale shark included), and alcion were most...More

Fantastic trip on MV Argo to Cocos Island. Manuelita and Alcyone favorite dive sites this trip. Wonderful seeing schools upon schools of hammerheads. So majestic. Loved the entire ambiance of the ship. The excellent service with a smile, the amazing food, the crew camaraderie, safety...More

Granted, expectations were really high, both for the service and the diving, so I guess some level of frustration is almost certain. However, I never expected to have just an ok trip, both from a diving and from a customer service standpoint. When you cruise...More

Cocos island had been a dream for many years before I finally went. The stuff off diver fairy tales. Unfortunately we were not that lucky. There was hammerheads, yes. On two dives we encountered big schools of fish. Night dives (we were allowed two) were...More

Kelley (18) and I just got back from a fantastic 12-day trip on Aggressor 2. We traveled to Cocos Island - Coast Rica to get on a 210’ live-aboard ship and go diving. We did 24 dives over 7 days, with 36-hrs each way to...More

Situated around 500km away from Puntarenas, is a 36 hours sailing trip (with good weather) and 30 hours back (aprox). Unless you do a diving trip (I went there with Okeanos Aggressor I ) or you go there as volunteer, I'm not sure you can...More

I visited Cocos Island for 10 days aboard the Okeanos Aggressor I. The crossing was pretty brutal, even the Costa Rican park rangers riding on the vessel got sea sick. There were just a handful of people who didn't get sick. I doubled up on...More

I visited Cocos Island aboard the Sea Hunter of the Undersea Hunter Group in September. It's understandable to me why divers revere this place. The diving is extraordinary. I was with one shipboard acquaintance who was visiting for the 5th time. The close views of...More

Hi, As mentioned above there are no unguided dives with Aggressor at least. You go down with a group and go up with the group. You get an SMB and GPS locator at the beginning of the trip. I was there in december, we only had... More
