All the tombs are above ground at this cemetery which marks graves in a variety of ways, some with brightly colored miniature churches and others as mounds with name-bearing crosses or piles of fire-blackened rocks.

If you get a chance to go by the cemetery take a few moments to go inside. Due to the lack of upkeep at times, photos are better from the downtown streets to get an overall view of the variety of colors.

We did not visit the actual cemetery but viewed it from our lunch spot. The manager offered us an explanation of what the various grace colors meant and a bit about the burial traditions. It was well worth seeing.

Walk distance from the market. Full of colorful tombs and unique. Not too big so doesn't take much time to explore the site.

This cemetery is worth visiting when your in Chichi. It is easy to find because it is quite big and with very bright colours. We spend about 30 minutes at this place, more than enough I think.

Walk in this cemetery and you feel warm and joyful. It's not just the colors. There's an energy of fun and celebration here. Many families will be doing Mayan ritual. We came upon one burying a 100 year old woman. Friends engaged us warmly. Little...More

Really pretty to walk around, so many colours! Don't need more than about 10 minutes though. Something a bit different.
