Stay in Zone 1 where everything interesing is. You can walk to the park and Cathedral from most hotels in zone 1. There's always something interesting happening at the park. Ask at your hotel

Catedran Metropolitana is one of the Guatemala city landmarks. Excellent architecture. Highly recemmended to visit.

It's definitely not as beautiful as many of the other cathedrals in Latin America, but it's still worth a visit if you're in the area. It's a good place to stop in to find some peace after exploring the plaza.

Not worth a special visit. There's not any signage in English...yes I know it's a place of worship and a Spanish speaking country however a little info would have been good.

On the way to the cathedral we wore follow until one of the tourist got pushed and robbed. That happed on the plaza before we went in to the cathedral. Beware of the kakos!

This amazing church ⛪️ building posses so much history in the walls. I live to visit churches that posses this type of architecture style.

We wandered all around it but didn't go inside. Beautiful architecture, and the park in front of it has a massive fountain and plenty of places to relax for a bit.

The Metropolitan Cathedral was not as special as we were expecting especially given the Cathedrals of comparable size that we have visited in Italy and Spain. Although having said that, the sense we got was that the building was utilized as it should be i.e....More

The Cathedral itself is supposed to be open daily, including weekends, from 7 AM to 1 PM and from 3 PM to 7 PM. But my cab driver warned me that often it is closed during those hours for no apparent reason. When I visited... More
