This national treasure is a must see item in Guatemala City. It is a feat of engineering and took engineers 15 years to complete in 1905.It accurately depicts Guatemala in relief and is apparently 1 of only two such maps in the world the other is in India. It gives one a real grasp of the country. I would have given... More

We went with my kids to show them how is the map of Guatemala. They loved it, but looks poor. It needs more management and colorful. But the architecture is splendid!

The Relief map is amazing. We had a wonderful guide, Jose Campos, who willingly explained and pointed out things we had to see. You could tell he was passionate about his beloved Guatemala, and it made the whole experience so much more interesting and fun than if I would walk around alone just to see it by myself. Well worth... More

This is unique. An accurate relief map of Guatemala made before Google Earth. All the visitors that I bring their enjoy the visit and are amazed by the history of the place and the concept.

It is a great place to visit to see Guatemala's geography. It is very impressive how this was built so long ago without the technology we have today as satellites and GPS.

I was expecting another thing when I came. The place is free and is basically a map made out in concrete that someone made a couple of years ago.. It has some mountains and rivers and stuff... Its kind of old... I mean, you can see they don't do any maintenance to the thing I think its the place you... More

This is a must see for the tourists, the map itself is a sample of the mountains, volcanos, rivers, lakes and everything else there is, it has all the names of the cities and departments, it is very impressive. Actually there is a tourist guide, affordable and bilingual, that explains everything you should know.

I finally made it to visit the relief map after years of hearing about it. I is a pretty cool side trip in the city, and worth pondering all the work that was involved in creating it. There are other things to do in the area; visit an American style baseball park, kids amusement park, the Gallo beer brewery. Admission... More
