The speedboat ride to this beach is well worth its price to enjoy one of the few sandy beaches in eastern Guatemala.

In Guatemala for a couple weeks and decided to end my trip in Livingston. At the top of my list was playa Blanca. Glad I did. Excellent boat ride stopping at seven altars first and then a few hours at the beach doing nothing but soaking in the sun and enjoying the warm water. The beach was clean and quiet... More

Located a stone's throw from the border with Belize, Playa Blanca is a private beach that is open to the public (adults pay a small fee on disembarking). A restaurant on site offers a very limited menu (chicken, fish or shrimp) and some plastic beach furniture. The beach itself is on the small side, with white sand and palm trees,... More

At the end, the place is nice, but you only can go via boat. You have white sand, nice and warm water. Finally a place how you would imagine the Caribbean Sea. Why only 4 stars? Well, it's not easy to go and the quality of the toilets and other options could be much better. But at the end, on... More

I was surprised to find a new restroom/changing facility complete with toilet paper and mirrors! There are hammocks and picnic tables as well as a concession stand. The water is very calm, no waves, more like a lake. We spent a pleasant few hours here and would go back in a heartbeat.

As others have said, this is a private beach and you pay over the usual prices for food and drinks. You have to go via boat as the only way to get there. I did not like the debris in the water, as it looked dirty. Still, a nice place to go and get some fresh air and relax. People... More

White sand beach with warm, calm waters! Bring a picnic lunch, lie in a hammock, buy a coconut (Q15 without Rum, Q40 with), and swim around. Heavenly, with a Q20 entrance fee

This tour by happy fish included several hours to enjoy this beach and gently lapping waves in shallow water at Playa Blanca. The people there were friendly and the coconut was fresh and delicious Tables, chairs, shade and hammocks abound for a modest entrance fee of Q20. This included clean restrooms.

Playa Blanca has beautiful calm water and it is the perfect temperature. Additionally the sand is really soft. Having said this, playa Blanca is a paid beach and there is only one small drink bar! So you MUST bring your own lunch if you want to enjoy and bring your own book or magazine because you have to take a... More

We took a boat through a tourist agency to the beach. You have to pay to use the beach as well (maybe 20 quetzales). Beach is long and open, and only tourists go to it. If you want a beach day, come here because most of the public beaches are covered in trash. To save money, bring your own drinks... More

The beach itself is beautiful with pleny of area to set your chairs. The place has some chairs, tables and hammocks of its own and the locals there will sell you some snacks and coco loco.
