This is a truly EXCELLENT dive operator and I have dealt with many in my 16 years of diving. The dive centre is associated with Barefoot Cay Resort, but diving is open to the public. It is a small operation with three full-time instructors who act as guides. The diver to DM ratio typically is not more than 5:1 (on... More

Although I am not a diver, the Barefoot dive shop team still made sure I was equipped for some fabulous snorkeling (such clear water and SO many fish!!). They can take both divers and snorkelers out at the same time, so that I wasn't separated from my group of 5 that are mostly divers. The dive sites they chose offered... More

I have been diving for nearly 20 years, and this place is top notch. They take care of everything...setting up, rinsing, and storing gear. I didn't have to think of a thing. I stayed at the resort. I would put on my bathing suit, stroll down the stairs, and hop on the boat. I didn't even have to put on... More

While Roatan is very well known and set up for diving, the dive shop team at Barefoot are very knowledgeable about the local snorkelling sites and are more than happy to take you there for your own adventure or a guided one.

Came here with my non-diver wife and stayed on the resort. Check out my review of Barefoot Cay if you want to learn more. The dive operation is best in class. You get a dive locker with your name on it to store your gear and the staff will assemble your gear for you (except analyze your nitrox tank, which... More

Since it was close to three years since I'd last been diving, I did their two hour refresher course which included a dive and then on the following two days went on two other dives. All three dives were at different spots along the reef, and each provided different types of coral, sponges and fish. When coming in the first... More

Kids and I got referred here from another dive shop as this is much closer to Mary's Place and we also wanted to dive a wreck. Barefoot Divers are awesome! We loved both our dives and our dive master Ron and captain Ricardo were great! If you want to dive Mary's place that's probably the best shop as it's literally... More

We travelled to Roatan for 14 days in February 2017. I dove with the Barefoot Divers at Barefoot Cay and can tell you that they are exceptional at what they do. The services was great. I simply had to get my gear on and the rest was taken care of by the crew. The shop is very professional with a... More

I stayed at Barefoot resort with my girlfriend, (she doesn’t dive), in July, 2016. I have been to many other dive locations throughout the Caribbean, (Coz, Bonaire, Belize, St Lucia, Cancun, Puerto Rico, Bahamas), but this was my first trip to Roatan. Each location seems to have some benefits to them but Roatan had the best of all of them.... More
