The display drawers hold curiosities and the collections can boggle your mind with all the diverse things there... whale bones to super cool insects. The museum also does great things for conservation and serves as a teaching tool the university can be proud to house. I love seeing what they have ... crawfish posters and more!

My wife and I were headed to the GA museum of Art on the UGA campus on a Monday, our day off, and guess what, it is closed Monday. So we headed to the Museum of Nat. History. There are two green painted free spaces on the back row of parking places across from the entrance, which is a normal... More

Great places to visit is you are in the area, Nature as best, and peaceful. Great for photos, but in hot summer is good to be prepared for the insects.

Very pretentious name for what this one-room place is. UGA is really doing itself a disservice even running such a place. I wonder how do they justify paying the personnel! Stuffed animals and a collection of a few artifacts. Highly dissapointing.

It is sad that this place have a big name like that : "Georgia Museum of Natural History". The place is really small, not a lot things to see ( if any ). It is so small that they recommend to call in advance to make reservations for any group bigger than 8 people... Of course, there is no space... More

One room with a few stuffed animals and a couple interesting facts. Have been to much better children's museums in Georgia. Bummer! State of Georgia Museum of Natural History deserves better representation.

A pretty good place to occupy a fidgety toddler for an hour or so, but this is more of a working museum with no real public exhibitions worth seeing. UGA deserves an actual museum of natural history!

This place is sensational. If you're local and haven't been, it's time. Seeing the blue morpho butterflies alone are worth the trip.

This is not a museum, its a room within a college building with stuffed animals - look elsewhere.
