We spent a wonderful sunny afternoon walking about the gardens. Many flowers in bloom. Nice educational experience as well. Excellent plant diversity. Plenty of benches to sit and enjoy. We did not do any of the hiking trails.

One of the most beautiful spots in Athens. A great opportunity to get fresh air and exercise. There are a ton of paved trails through out the gardens plus miles of natural trails through the woods. If you or your kids are in to Pokemon...More

What a beautiful wedding inside the Atrium, amid the plants, tress and flowers. Simply breath taking.

Beautiful gardens with so much to see and learn! It is free which is incredible. We spend two hours here and could easily have stayed longer.

We were in Athens on Monday, April 2 and wanted to enjoy the beautiful weather so we headed to the gardens. While nice, the landscape was not as colorful as hoped for as it appears that we were between seasons. The wildflowers had already bloomed...More

Beautiful! Was an excellent location for wedding. Beautiful chapel. You should drive down to chapel to drop off women in heels and people who have trouble walking. Then drive up hill to park. Repeat process to take to greenhouse where reception is held. But walk...More

Several paths that are well marked, well kept, and fun for a short hike (or longer if you string a few of them together). Doable for kids, fun terrain, and nice changes in scenery. We hike these paths at about once a week and they...More

It's free to park and visit although they appreciate donations. I usually try to put a few dollars in the box by the entrance whenever we attend but its not required or expected.

There are a good number of paved trails that are, but there are more unpaved trails that are not. The paved trails to cover the majority of the actual gardens though while the unpaved trails are just nature trails.
