It was a bit drizzly when we started our hike so it was muddy and slippery (according to the locals it wasn’t too bad). The trail wasn’t as muddy as we got closer to the second fall but the trail also became very steep and...More

We didn’t go the last 50ft. Down the steep hill because it was raining and was very slippery. The hike other than that was very pleasant. Easy walk next to creek or thru the woods where it was cool.

Found out about this from a local. Disappointing it is getting advertised on sites like this. I won't give details of how to find this spot, but it was worth the trouble finding the proper trail, and in places crawling through the mud due to...More

This is a good choice for a hike if you don’t want to invest hours or work too hard. The trail is easy to follow and generally in good shape. Like so many trails in Kauai during the winter months you can expect some slippery...More

The first thing you will note, when hiking to any waterfall in Kauai is that because it is known as "The Garden Island", it is lush and green which tells you it rains a lot more than other islands and therefore the trails are MUDDY....More

We arrived early (first!), so we had no guidance. Somewhere online, we read that the entrance was marked by a yellow gate. The gate is not yellow, just metal. The unmarked parking area is simply off the edge of the road, on dirt, parallel to...More

Walking this trail, I felt like a dinosaur would appear any minute - very prehistoric looking terrain which was very interesting. Notice the man next the the GIANT tree in the first photo. It was raining just enough to make the trail VERY slippery. As...More

We were looking for something to do before our flight left and we only had the morning. THis hike was perfect! It was a 30 minute hike through some slippery terrain, but the many tree roots help keep you on your feet. The falls are...More

Ok so here’s the deal. Find a spot and try not to slip and die in the mud. The first falls is nice. It’s not a huge falls but it’s beautiful. You can enter the water here. Be warned getting back up requires extreme caution...More

The trailhead was a little hard to find. Its in a residential neighborhood, you park on the street and look for a small trail that's hard to see if you're not really looking hard. The trail itself was muddy and a little slippery, but its...More

You were at the correct place but the dirt trail leading to the river and falls is about .25 miles on the left before the private dirt road. It's more of a skinny dirt foot path. It's marked by a electric pole that says... More
