Great place to camp

Clean bathrooms and shower amenities. A great place to relax and set up camp after finishing the Kalalau Trail.

This is literally the end of the road. Beach and trails, very popular and hard to find parking. Can access the Na Pali Coast trail from here. If you hike take water. Gorgeous even going 1/2 mile on trail.

We vacation on the North shore during the winter months knowing that clouds, rain and high surf are common. It is the rain, after all, that makes this side of the island the paradise it is. We drove up to the park Saturday morning, attempting to choice a lull between the early morning crown and those will arrive after lunch.... More

If you turn right from the parking lot and turn around you will get a view of Bali Hai, seen in the old movie South Pacific.

Located just west of Hanalei, it is equipped with a large dirt parking lot. There are picnic tables, restrooms and showers. The beach is lifeguarded, in fact the day we visited they closed down all water activity. Dry cave is located across the road so it wasnt a complete waste.

This is a very nice beach park just before the end of the road and almost across the street from the caves. It has came along way since our first visit to Kauai. That was about 15 years ago and we nicknamed it Beatnick Beach because of all the homeless that camped in the park. Those days seem long gone.... More

One of the nicest beaches in Kauai - much more worthwhile than Ke'e Beach which is 5-10 mins drive away and a parking nightmare. Ha'ena beach is located at the North Shore, not sure why it is assigned to Kapaa by other trip advisor contributors.

We didn't see many people at this little roadside park. I don't know why, may have been the tides. Seemed kind of hometownish or something like that. We didn't stop at this park but continued around the highway that goes 3/4 or the way around the island.

The end of the road...literally! Beautiful place. This is where the trail to Na Pali starts. It is pretty busy here.

The water is excellent here. The view from the bluff at the western end of the eastern park is awesome. Great spot for kids to learn how to surf.

Thank Steve P
