This was my favorite beach that we visited on our Kauai trip. The water was fairly calm the first few days and then was more turbulent the last day with bigger surf. My wife who is deathly afraid of water went snorkeling with me twice...More

Hiked down to this today. Sad to see so much garbage washing up on shore. Didn't read this in the reviews.

I drove a little further up the road past the beach park to find a less crowded area. The beaches here were very nice and the water was fairly calm. I saw several people snorkeling and children swimming in the water. There are some small...More

There is so much room at this beach you'll have no problem finding a spot. It's calm enough for kids to play with limited supervision and is shallow for a long way out from the water line. Great snorkeling, you can see turtles during winter...More

Just drive to the end of the road and then go back to the area you think you would like the best. Closest to the main road, rougher waves and rocky. Then there is the beach park. Past the beach park, calm and shallow. It is... More

This is not a good snorkeling beach at any time as there just are no fish or nice structures in the water. It is protected by the reef but it is also a north facing beach and typically north facing beaches are not the best... More
