This is not a well marked location, so make sure that you do your homework on google maps. The parking lot is in a fenced area and just before you drive over the lava fields. You will need shoes or good flip flops/water shoes to get to the shore line. Access into the water we found is best on the... More

A beautiful, quiet beach we happened upon while driving around. The road is very narrow in places where only one car can pass but not a problem as we passed very few cars. Saw some snorkelers and wished we had brought our snorkels along. Views are amazing.

Thanks to a tip from an awesome bartender (see Cafe Olei Kihei) we ended up with the best part of our trip! This place is out of the way down a small narrow road. The parking lot for the reserve is past a residential area on your right. There is either a volunteer or ranger at the parking lot to... More

Heard this was a "fun" place to go and kids would like it. Unfortunately, it was a waste of our time and money. The "tour" consists of walking up a dirt road a few yards, feeding goats with hay and then walking back to an enclosure with baby goats in it. Then, we walked another few yards around the building... This is absolutely the best snorkeling on the island. I saw more variety of fish than anywhere we had snorkels before. Beautiful

I have been coming here for many years. The abundance and variety of fish is, the best on Maui. Tip: The best entry point is down at the end of the beach. (On the opposite side from where the path from the parking lot comes down) There is sand. Also, try putting your fins on in the water, after you... More

Everyone raves about the snorkeling at Molokini, but after finally seeing it this year, we felt that Ahihi Bay is much better in terms of the coral, quantity and different types of fish to see.

Been coming here since 2006. Always a good snorkel for sure. The water is not clear but the fish are abundant. Come early before the waves pick up. Very cool drive to get here. There is a small Parking lot on the right side just as you drive into a old lava flow area. You can park here and take... More

Ahihi bay is by far the best place to snorkel in all of Maui! The coral is beautiful and the amount of fish is amazing. We also managed to see a total of 5 sea turtles and 1 stingray. We've entered both at the beach and in the cove and the beach is definitely easier to get into to, but... More

This was my favorite place in Maui. Absolutely best place for snorkeling and SUP:ing! It's a little place with few people.
