Clear Kayak and Snorkel Adventure from Kihei

Get a new perspective on life under the sea with this adventure, which includes a clear kayak ride and a snorkeling trip. You'll head out to Makena Landing Park in Wailea, where you'll get to spot all sorts of local life, including coral and fish; if you're lucky, you might even see a sea turtle.

This is a very cool place. However, the hike down is not easy and once you get there it is somewhat dangerous as a big wave could easily knock you into the sea (and has done so killing people). So if you go be aware and keep children very close. Laying in the pool with the waves crashing nearby was a wonderful experience.

This attraction is a must do! You have to hike down to the coast but it’s easier than the nearby Nakalele blowhole. It’s an experience unlike any other I had across the whole island of Maui. You can literally go sit in pools right next to where the waves are ferociously pounding the rocks just feet away. It’s somewhat intimidating because you still need to be safe and every once in a while there’s a much larger wave than there normally is. Be careful where you sit/walk in the pools because there’s areas where it drops off and becomes very deep. This attraction is certainly not for the faint hearted but it should definitely be on your list if you’re feeling adventurous. Lastly, the pools are incorrectly pinned on Trip Advisor’s map, so use Google Maps.

Quite frankly, I am stunned that this gorgeous location has not received all 5 star reviews! Breathtaking views of the black lava rocks and cliffs with the surf pounding and white foam spraying. Soooooo many photos and videos taken here! This is worth a visit just for the views - no need to get in the pools (can be dangerous). Just go!

We had a great time with the two of us and 3 kids. We saw turtles, went on a snorkel boat, hiked to a water fall, visited Baldwin Beach and Paia, had shaved ice. Saw the Banyon trees in Lahaina. It was great!

We did not walk down all the way to the pools, rather we took pictures of it and the surrounding surf. If you are going by, stop, but it is not something to drive around the island to see. The road to here is narrow and windy. We lost cell phone service a few miles from here. Thankfully google maps still worked, else we would have never found it since there are no posted signs or directions.
