Worn out and needs a facelift. somehow the state needs to get funding. This is a historical site with a lot of local memories. Can be one of the TOP attractions when completed.

The grounds are very nice and large. The façade is classic and very cool. Problem is it's deteriorating and in need of repair. The locked gates keep visitors out which is sad to see. It's surprising to see a nice monument and aquatic center like...More

Currently closed to the public, this double-Olympic-size, 100 meter salt water pool is where Duke Kahanamoku swam and world records were broken. On Friday nights, a volunteer bagpiper plays Taps at sunset. Very moving tribute to the 10,000 Hawaii residents who served in WWI. It...More

Any reviewer who would demand this be torn down may not be aware that this is a war memorial. The memory of those who gave their lives in the cause of WWI cannot be bulldozed. There are both moral and legal issues at work here....More

Do something, Hawaii! Allowing a war memorial to fall into this state of disrepair is embarassing and shameful. There is no excuse - something that was once magnificent is now an eyesore. Don't waste your time going here, you will only be disappointed.
