All the way bark of Kewalo Basin Harbour. A very quite beach area and clean with benches to rest. It has a walk way with toilets and some vendors. If you are looking to get away from crowded Waikiki beach this will be the perfect to relax. 2miles from Waikiki

My boyfriend and I decided to go marlin fishing through Reel Intense located in the Kewalo Basin. We left at 6 am and as we were going out, you could see the sunrise and amazing views of Honolulu. Unfortunately we did not catch marlin, but we did catch mahi mahi. It was a nice way to spend the day.

I grew up near here. Home to maybe a dozen fishing charter operations, parasailing, sunset cruises, etc. Geared towards tourists, but cool area to walk around and get a feel for local water activities. Beach and park right next to the marina. If you are staying in Waikiki area and want the convenience of not having to go far to book a water activity, then this is a good spot to check out.

Went to Kewalo Basin for a Food Truck Lunch (advertised to be open 7 days a week).
Only one truck there - visit was a bust. You can get great fishing charters there.
Went across the street to Kincaid's and had a great lunch.

A large marina that has many fishing charter boats. Also has a park that runs along the shore. It's a nice palace to walk around and check out the local action.

Went here for the pizza a-go-go event. Loved it! They had a bunch of vendors all with their regular menus and then a special pizza.
We had a garlic and mushroom pizza, a paneer pizza, and biscuits. Loved it all. Drinks need to be kept on the deck, but the makers punch is great.
Annoying to get to from Waikiki. We took bus to Ward Ave then walked down to the marina. We ended up waking back to our hotel in Waikiki which took a while, but it was fun. I would totally go back here

Great place to watch sunset and surfers. Easy walk from downtown. Toilets, showers. Childrens learning center. Right behind the marina.

We stayed on a boat in the basin for 2 nights (via a competing booking site), and it was wonderful! The adjacent park and beach were nice. There are some homeless around, but they keep to themselves. It was awesome waking up in the morning, sitting on the deck drinking coffee, and watching boats go out filled with tourists on para sail/diving/snorkeling adventures. The sunsets were wonderful.

It was an excellent experience. The guide was highly informative of his home and was a very great host for all of us on this ride. Learned a lot about the island Oahu and all of the sea inhabitants as well as knowledge about the land and the hotels. Great time.

We stayed on a 57 ft yacht here for a week and loved every minute of it! The marina is quiet. There is an amazing view of the sunset each night as well as the Friday night fireworks. There are several charters that operate out of here. It is a good place to get out on the water. There is a protected beach across the street. Many restaurants are within walking distance.
We loved seeing the variety of tropical fish and even a large stingray.
