The best thing about Waikiki is that you can rent a Jeep and drive to the North Shore. We spent four days in the Vans at the Bonzai Pipeline and it could not have been better. We love surfing but aren’t good enough to survive...More

Loved North Shore. I stayed with family in Honolulu and we drove to North Shore almost every day. If I get to come back, it'll probably be the area I stick around the most. Traffic can be busy, especially on nice windy days for surfing,...More

Lots of beautiful beaches and everyone of them provides a different activity. From the tide pools for the family to surfing waves to the pipeline. Very nice.

The area is filled with beautiful beaches. Waves were only about 4 ft on the day we were there, but still plenty of surfers. I would definitely go back and explore the area more. Tours buses are limited and have time restraints. We saw all...More

North Shore is a place you go to watch and then go get shave ice from Matsumoto's even if the line is out the door and through the parking lot.

Visited the North Shore of Oahu last week. It was by far one of the most beautiful places I have ever been in my 50+ years of traveling. The diversity of beaches, restaurants, surfing spots, hiking trails, and any other outdoor activity you can think...More

If you are taking a trip to the Island of Oahu, you must head down to the North Shore. Great surf, great shops, lots of food, and beautiful views. Grab some garlic shrimp while you are there from one of the many food trucks.

We drove North Shore and spot hopped all day. We went to 3-4 beaches, enjoyed the small town eats and shops, and even walked by a giant sea turtle sunning on the sand in a hidden neighborhood stretch of beach. Dole is on the way,...More

We took a day trip from Kauai to Honolulu to visit Pearl Harbor. Our tickets for the USS Arizona weren't until the afternoon so we rented a car and decided to make the Oahu loop, we specifically wanted to check out the North Shore to...More

I rented a car and stayed in North Shore. I tried taking The Bus too. It took over an hour from downtown to North Shore. The bus runs every half an hour. Check recent up dated schedule.
