Funny little island off the shore! A nice spot for a photo op and more scenic views while traveling around Oahu. There is a beach and also a large grassy area with picnic tables. Would make for a nice lunch spot.

Chinaman's Hat park is a really nice place to Picnic and Camp. It's great for family get togethers, both for a day or a few days. It's also near Kualoa Ranch for a good meal and/or an interesting tour of old movie locations or historic...More

We were on a tour and veiwed this amazing spectacle. Small rock island in the shape of a chinamans hat that they used in the rice fields. Even on an overcast day this sight is fantastic. The island itself is very lush and is a...More

I understand that you can actually access the islet by kayak, boat, surfboard, swimming or even wading at low tide. While we did see several people out in the water probably on the way there, we didn't make it to the islet itself. The islet...More

Okay, so it's an island that looks like a Chinaman's Hat and that's about it but it's one of those things you must see whilst here. We got to see it on 2 different days, once when circling the island and again on our day...More

All the reviews here mirror our experience. It was an amazing sight. Next time, we will take water shoes so we can actually get to the island. Due to the rocks, I do not think it is walk-able without something on your feet. The associated...More

Seen this view before and it never seems to amaze me. If you are lucky and can spend the day Kaneohe Bay, then you can rent a Kayak and paddle out to the island. Do wear good water shoes.

An amazong spot with a beautiful view once at the top. What grabbed my attention was that you can reach this island via kayak, swimming, or walking if the tide is low enough. We kayaked on our day, but we saw people walk across. I...More

You can paddle out to the island but it's still nice to look at from the land. It was larger than I was expecting and the mythology behind the island is quite interesting (it is said to be the remains of a giant lizard tail...More

I was so excited to see the famous Chinaman's Hat while on Oahu. It did not disappoint. Such an iconic feature! Now when we see it in the background in movies we can say "We've been there!"
