The museum provides a movie and exhibitions on the interesting history of the Amana Colonies. And some surprises, like het world's first microwave, which came from Amana!

Quaint is charming, but quaint is also dated. This museum is both of those. There was quite a bit to see in this setting, which started with a video about the Amana experience that needed captions as some of the speakers were hard to understand....More

This was our first time to visit the Amana Heritage Museum. Well worth the time and information we gained. This is worth your time and effort. You will appreciate Amana all the more.

I you don't know the history of the Amana Colonies, then put this on your list of things to do. It has a nice, short presentation of the history and a good self guided tour os what life was like there.

I believe it was $8 which also includes admission to other historic sites in the Amanas.
