Nice inner city place to walk and get some fresh air, plant and trees are not well taken care of but generally clean. There is a zoo near the entrance, I'm not a fan of looking up animals so I didn't visit.

This is a very well stocked and curated art gallery - quite a pleasant surprise. Some interesting modern art and an outstanding collection of bronzes.

Beautiful building containing a large collection of mostly French impressionist and modern paintings and sculptures: Pisarro, Degas, Rodin, Monet, and many more. Also some small Buddhas from former French colonies of Laos and Cambodia, and porcelain from China and France. Finally many artworks from Algerian painters, some of whom were students of the great French and Impressionist artists. All this... More

My sister-in-law took us for a visit at the Musee. Don't turn around if you arrive at a closed gate, the small door to the right is open and once we peeked in and said bonjour, the gate was opened for us. A lovely, polite gentleman admitted us and gave us a brief overview. He reappeared from time to time... More

A lovely Museum in an exceptionally rich and beautiful natural park, surrounded by amazing trees in the center of Algiers. Visitors can spend hours without noticing the time. A must while visiting Algiers.

Feels like an opportunity missed. There are some nice Algerian paintings, but some lesser French ones and some fairly ordinary bits of furniture.

The collection of art and sculpture here is actually quite decent, considering that you're in Algiers and not Paris. Photos inside are discouraged, but you can probably get away with taking a few quick pics as there aren't too many people supervising activity. The view out over the Jardin d'Essai is superb.

Across the street from the Jardin, this museum is worth an hour. Lots of stairs and no elevators so not for the faint of heart or the feeble. Some beautiful sculptures but otherwise it was just so-so. Great view of the port.
