It is one of the best museums I have ever been to. It s not so large that you feel overwhelmed but full of the amazing history of Algeria.. from Christian Jewish and Islamic Art, it also has Roman and Byzantine artifacts. Its a must...More

Most museums in Algeria don't allow photos, but this one does. The museum has some fantastic rock art from south Algeria (find more outside the building too). There is a great bronze collection, and some large statues. The mosaics though are very colourful and detailed....More

As with many museums in Algeria, photography is not permitted once inside. The collection of Roman era mosaics and statues here is relatively small but is still quite interesting and is worth taking the time to visit.

This museum is not large so one does not have to rush through it and take the time to savor the exhibits. The Museum of Archaeology is located right next to it so I would recommend a visit to both. Admission fee is an astoundingly...More

Interesting museum and like all museums in Algiers very cheap and you will be the only person there. Adjacent park is nice but to be avoided after lunch as it gets full of local lovers, alcoholics and beggars.
