Nice Place

It is a place from Ottoman time and if you like history you should visit Jamaa El Cedid. I liked the place very much.

I ended up visiting this landmark during my tour of The Casbah. My tour ended in the Lower Casbah which empties into Place des Martyrs which is where the mosque is located. It's great to get the history of the place. Definitely don't make a separate trip to visit this mosque; instead, include it as part of your visit to... More

A bite of traditional Algiers, if you catch it as a location just pre or post prayer, theres a buzzing ambiance in a great setting - check out the mint tea sellers

The most interesting part of the visit for me was seeing all the birds and all the great shopping across the street. Its a very historically important place and so close to the Kasbah. You can start off from this location and see the Kasbah

Not quite as ancient as the nearby Jamaa El Kabir mosque, this one is in my opinion more attractive from the outside and makes for better pictures if you can get the lighting right. Easy to combine with a visit to the El Kabir mosque.
