Best selection of rugs! Wonderful low key atmosphere. Not aggressive. Very helpful. Very pleasant shopping experience. Far better selection than anywhere else in Fes we saw. Found a rug we love for a price we could afford.

We had a great experience. The owner was not overly pushy. Carpet was far better quality than anything we had seen. Highly recommend shopping here.

I have travelled around Morocco for some time, buying vintage and modern rugs from places that I know to be sources for ABC carpet in NY. I can say with full confidence that Coin Berber is the best source by far for genuine vintage rugs in the Fez area. The other stores in Fez sell generic modern machine made rugs... More

When anticipating my trip to Fes, I knew that I wanted a Berber rug - well, maybe just a short runner to hang on the wall as art. I also knew that rug buying in Morocco would be a stressful endeavor fraught with the pitfalls of the false guide, poor quality or just plain fake product. I almost abandoned the... More

We spent 21 days traveling all over Morocco. We were very excited to buy rugs and found it addicting to open up all the beautiful rugs and see the designs. Buying a rug can be very overwhelming, but our experience with Abdul at Coin Berbere was awesome. Not only was he professional, kind and willing to negotiate, he had very... More

Abdul is very knowledgeable and makes the process of picking out rugs very fun. Like any other place in Fez, you will be offered mint tea and be charmed by the salesman, but at Coin Berbere you will learn about rugs, the regions they come from and the craftsmanship behind each piece. The negotiating is low-key and not pushy. Above... More

Came here with one other having read about it on TripAdvisor. From the start both people serving us, Abdul and his brother, were friendly and welcoming and insisted on no pressure. We were taken upstairs and asked roughly what size we were after; they showed us a few rugs, and I said what I was looking for (Beni Ouraine). Came... More

Fantastic selection and service. Besides being knowledgeable and helpful, Abdul was full of jokes he kept us so entertained as we agonized over which rugs to buy. When he found out we're from NYC, he joked that we would have to pay multiples for the same rugs at ABC Home which was so funny and really he's not wrong!

We learned so much about the tradition of tapestry in Morocco just from one visit. We found four rugs we love, got them for a totally reasonable price for a couple of students, and stayed for a couple hours just to enjoy tea and chat. This is truly a no pressure situation (not the kind that everyone says is no... More

After spending almost a week in Fez and the whole day in Chefcaouen looking for the right rug at the right price, I went to Coin Berbere on my last day here. I had read reviews previously about them and wanted to wait until the end of my trip to compare. Good thing I waited- they have the best selection... More
