I cannot say enough good things about shopping at Lahandira. Ismail, his father Brahim and his brothers Baker and Zacharia and cousin Ahmed are all absolutely lovely to work with. I live in Marrakech and Ismail and his family were incredibly patient with me, letting me test out dozens of carpets even though I told them I wasn't going to... More

If you're in Marrakech and looking for a rug you can get quite overwhelmed. There's so many options and so many vendors, that sell our quality, especially in the souks. Lahandira offers great rugs, they're super nice, not pushy or offensive, like many others. I bought two rugs here and it sure wasn't the last time.

After searching online for the best store to buy carpet from during our stay in Marrakesh last week, we stumbled across the Instagram page of Lahandira. It took some effort to find: when entering the souks from the right hand side coming from Jemaa El Fna, keep going straight ahead. Shortly after passing the spice market, there is a white... More

I had the delight of being introduced to Brahim and his son Ishmail back in 2014 where I purchased 2 rugs to be sent back to NZ. I was so very pleased as they arrived in NZ in perfect condition. I was very pleased. Went back in 2015 bought another 2 very large rugs this time, Brahim invited me to... More

We were newlyweds on our minimoon to Marrakech and really wanted to get a beautiful carpet to decorate our new home. At first, we were brought to a few different carpet shops by our tour guide and cab driver but we learned quickly not to believe them as they were keen to mark up the price. My husband then independently... More

Lahandira is like an Aladdin's cave of rugs. Set in an atmospheric courtyard in the medina they have a huge selection of absolutely gorgeous Berber rugs, kilims, wedding blankets and pillows. The owner Bassidi is very sweet and helpful and they ship internationally as well. The prices are very fair and it's a smooth and pleasant buying experience.

Lahandira is the ultimate rug-buying experience the Marrakech medina has to offer. It's exactly as you'd picture it to be. They treat their customers with the utmost respect and help you decide, while educating you, on which rugs to choose. They determine your style and help you narrow it down to the perfect selection. GO VISIT!

Ismail was very helpful and had great selection. It was also fantastic that he had photos of everything so it is easier to narrow down your choices and ask to see specific ones. My biggest problem was choosing one!

I found Lahandira through Instagram (a must-follow) and am so glad I did! Ismael and his team were so incredibly helpful, taking the time to show us rugs and explaining where they came from. They also noted our preferences and showed us rugs they thought we'd like (very efficient when you have limited time). The inventory was beyond beautiful and... More

A designer friend suggested I visit Lahandira while in Marrakech - she said it was the most magical of all shops run by a family she had become close to given her frequent travels to the region. I was greeted with tea & coffee and soon found myself climbing up a narrow set of stairs to a showroom piled high... More
