The main gate between the Imperial City and Meknes Medina. The gate was finished in 1732. Gate was closed when I visited and you use a side gate.

There was an art instillation for free when we visited. It is a must see in Meknes. It is right in front of the Lahdim square which is also a great stop.

There are so many gates in Morocco that it becomes mind boggling. It is very pretty, but so are many others.

Under construction... if you can skip this area, please do. There was nothing to write home about! Decent square across from it !

Our tour group stopped at this gate. Having been forewarned by other Tripadvisor reviewers that getting a picture free of traffic was difficult, I set up to take several pictures. With some patience and multiple exposures over a five minute period I succeeded in obtaining two auto-less exposures. Our guide told us several legends about the gate including that when... More

A very popular sight with the tour groups - so plenty of people milling around. Yes, it is very impressive. Road beside it is a "total nightmare" for traffic - espcially if trying to cross to the square opposite.

Meknes has its own "Djemaa el-Fna", but is a lot nicer than its big brother in Marrakech: less hassle, less noise, great for a walk and something to eat/drink.

Incredible site my first encounter with Bab Mansour Gate it's simply stunning and ornate. Our peregrine guide said it was Almohad architecture, The challenge is to try and get a good photo of it without traffic going through it. It's always busy it's part of the centre that never sleeps Hint: good footwear, suitable clothing, camera , and patience

One of the main sightseeing attractions in Meknes that is difficult to shot because of the heavy traffic on the road between the gate and main square in Meknes.
