Small museum but worth visiting!

Based on some guidebooks this used to be an arts and crafts museum with various carpets, copperwork, musical instruments, astrolabes, etc, but by my visit in March 2013 it had... read more

We went because it was in the guide books. Very well presented but in pales insignificance to Chellah and Kasbah Des Oudaias. I would have spent less time. Hint: camera, suitable clothing and footwear, less time required for this visit

we went there, because the guide books told us, it was a good museum. The exhibit was good and worth the visit, if not as good as we thought it would be after reading about it. the problem was that someone from the museum didn't leave us alone. He walked with us and told us a lot of things -... More

We tried to see the museum each day for the three days we were in Rabat, at a different time each day, but each time it was closed. When we asked when it would be open we were given a time but when we came back the next day it was closed. Very disappointing as we were keen to see... More

Based on some guidebooks this used to be an arts and crafts museum with various carpets, copperwork, musical instruments, astrolabes, etc, but by my visit in March 2013 it had been converted into a museum devoted primarily to jewelry, which was more interesting than it might sound. The museum has some really beautiful pieces from different parts of Morocco and... More

I believe this is the museum in the Palace in the Kasbah. It is an ancient walled garden Palace with an extensive system of paths, plants, trees, flowers and pools. The main house is restored and is a museum containing a number of interesting artifacts. Well worth a visit.

This museum, tucked away in the Medina in Rabat, is a hidden treasure. The Kasbah itself, in which it is housed, is worth seeing, but the collections of jewelry are fantastic and well curated. If you don't read Arabic or French, bring a translator (mobile or otherwise) as the information provided is interesting. The collection covers prehistoric and ancient items... More

there is very little to see in that place, I think it is a waste of time to go there when the city has so much else to offer.
