My sister and myself took this trail with another family of 8 and we enjoyed every minute of it.the couple with their children were nothing but delightful and jolly and supportive with me as the tortoise of the group. Our guides Herschel and Mano (oops I'm sure its incorrect..sorry) were so super encouraging and knowledgeable and extremely helpful all the... More

We have just finished our trip on the Dolphin trail, which we loved so much we didn't want it to finish. The special welcome at each nights accommodation was wonderful. Major thanks to our guide, Werner who was able to tell us all about the wildlife of the area. Excellent food throughout as well. Would liked to have more time... More

Greetings Kizzwhizzy56 Well done on this great effort. The Dolphin Trail has so much to offer hikers in terms of beauty and scenery, but made especially worthwhile when there is so much to learn about the area and the wildlife. Your positive comments on Werner's expertise has been passed on to him. Thanks so much again, and we do hope... More

The hike description says this is a walk which will pamper and challenge you in equal measure and it lived up to that description very well. Luggage is portered so it is a luxurious way to hike. Pre booking essential. You hike in a group of 8 - but you have the trail to yourself as it is a protected... More

Did this trail with my husband and another couple. The hike is stunning, many difficult climbs though, well worth the effort to experience the Tsitsikama coastline and indeginous forests. Super luxury accomodation for the 2nd and 3rd nights. The first night in the national park is clean and functional, with a beautiful setting on the ocean, excellent meals at all... More

I admit that it was a luxurious walk, but not having to carry a heavy rucksack made us enjoy the treks even more. Our two guides were most informative about the flora and part of a formidable and well organised team. Our accommodations were superb by all accounts. The chalet at Storms River Mouth was rustic but wonderfully situated next... More

We are a group of five couples who do a slackpacking hike together every year.We thoroughly enjoyed the Dolphin Trail and felt it was the most beautiful scenery of all the walks we have done.We did find it to be more strenuous than anticipated and recommend a reasonable level of fitness in order to enjoy it.There is nothing difficult or... My wife and I enjoyed all about the tour except for the 'basic' first nights accommodation (Bolt on door not working, no blinds working), however I must say that it looked better in the dark once we had the lights on, in fact it looked quite cozy, and unfortunately it rained from the minute we set off on our first... We hiked in September 2015. The hike is a 2 day walk, 3 nights accommodation. The first night is in the Garden Route national park in chalets. The chalets are fairly basic but provide everything needed and are on the beach. The second night is at the Misty Mountain reserve and the third at The Fernery. The accommodation was above... More

The walks on each day were and great length. The first day being 7 kilometres and the second being 12k ish. It does say less on the brochure but we do not think that it included up and downs(so we used a app on the phone). The accommodation was absolutely amazing with us being the only people at the Misty... More

We had a most wonderful experience hiking along the South African Tsitikamma coast. The Dolphin Trail is well known for what is called ‘slack-packing’. What it means is that you hike without having to carry anything and you stay in quality accommodation each evening. Your luggage is transported and it is an inclusive package. We were a group of 12... More
