It is a 20 minute trip by motorised boat to the island. nice seating arrangements. Beer, snacks and cold drinks available. Entry is chargeable. A nice place for a picnic.

Actually an underwhelming experience. The sales over sells the experience. The minute you arrive on shore (via ferry from White Sands Hotel) you are asked whether you'd like to 'rent' shade...etc. Would not rush back!

This is an excellent place in Dar Es Salaam. If you are planning to visit Dar es salaam you must go to this Island.

Being a Kenyan, we have much better looking beaches in our homeland. We paid KES 1000 to cross over and admission charges. Carry your "cold" drinks and food to avoid disappointment.

The last time I was there a few months ago, all that was available was tented accommodation. I think it was $20 a night
