Been at Mbudya with friends for a weekend getaway, we had a good and relaxed moments. The beach is clean, food is nice and the beach games are enjoyable. On top of everything, the boat ride from slipway was authentic.

Most relaxed place to visit. Go on a weekday if you want the island to yourself (there's hardly anyone) 'Tis really safe and easy to get to. Swim, eat fresh caught grilled fish and relax.

Ask for lobster... so cheap, so good! Be careful of water currents around the corner beach on the mainland side of Mbudya island... they can be treacherous.

Do make sure you give the fish and chips a try. Also look out for the bushpath behind the baobab tree. Well worth it in my view
