in the heart of a muslim country rises a cathedral ,unique in its genre blended with beautiful mosaics and not far from it ,ibn khaldoun statue considered as a forerunner of the modern disciplines of historiography, sociology, economics, and demography.
I was surprised by the beauty and richness of this cathedral, full of history.
It's a living church thanks to a community of foreigners.
Don't forget to visit the mosaics, and discover the unique souvenir from the visit of Saint John Paul II
But that is all I can say. I tried to get in a few times, my ho teal was down the road, 5 minute walk from the cathedral, but it was always closed, no matter was a weekend or a week day. Big locked gates...More
Quiet and peaceful Christian cathedral in the centre of Tunis. Opening hours are limited but the security guard in the booth at the side entrance (on the street to the right as you face the cathedral) gave us the times.
