Although the rains this year have been excellent, the park suffers from chronic overgrazing during the drought years and is now full of broadleafed weeds and little grass. For some reason they have introduced booking for weekends, maybe to control the volume of picniccers. This means that game viewers have the place to themselves on Saturday and Sunday. The roads... Very reasonble price to see animals and also very close to the city. We saw a wide range of animals and really enjoyed the experience, a great way to see wildlife without having to go ot on ssafari. We were able to drive around in our own car at our own pace, saw lots of interesting stuff. recommended.

Very close to the city center. During the weekend you have to make a reservation. Easy accessible in a sedan car. You can easily visit the park in an hour and see some game. Nice picnic area!

It was a very long time ago kids were quite young. The place is very dry and boring. Not many animals. But I don't know about now.

It is extremely dry in the whole area and most of the animals were along the river. We saw elephants crossing the river to the plains on the inside to feed and then swim back late afternoon. It was really amazing with the little ones. Drives do not go deep into the park because it is so dry. Saw also... More

There isn't much I can write about this reserve. It was self -drive and I did round trip around the reserve. The roads are not all marked, I ended up on a dead end and hd to turn back, I only saw 2 Zebras, about 4 Springboks and maybe around 10 Warhogs and that was it. It really was a... More

I enjoy going to this reserve as they are not so over crowded. There isn't that much wild but the monkeys always give you a laugh at the picnic areas which are kept very clean.

So close to the city centre, easy to find and access in any vehicle, so this is a good way to spend an hour or two. It's just P10 per person and per vehicle no matter what the nationality which makes a change from other parks. Nice viewing of Gemsbok and I had less than an hour to get around.... More
