Entoto Hill is literally a breath of fresh air and topped with a museum, church, and first palace amidst a forest of eucalyptus trees. The road up has a bunch of trails including some with amazing views of Addis Ababa.

Did standard trip out as part of city tour. Quite high at 3000m. Good views although hazy in day. Did not try walks. Some interesting looking markets on way. Not an Addis must, but perfectly pleasant.

The history of queen sheba and Solomon and the orthodox church is so well explained and visible here. The abode of such great sukers is humble and explains how simple life was in those times. Views and all are suburb.

The views of the city were cool, though it was pretty foggy/smoggy the day we went. The mountain itself was very nice with all the trees and wildflowers. We drove up to the church, which I enjoyed. Definitely worth a visit.

On a one day visit, I would definitely include this site on your itinerary. It does not take very long to get there, and the site itself only takes a short time to see everything, but with a good guide you can get a nice... More
