I had the chance to visit the Arch 22 which was build to commemorate the 1994 revolution. The Arch houses various Gambian artifacts, and beautiful view of the capital.There is also a restaurant where you can eat and relax for the day.

It is the only historical place what you can see in gambia so it is definetely good to visit this place and there is a nice view on the top of the arch as well.

My guess is that they built this place for "once a year" parades. It look very communistic. But there is a nice small museum in the arch (entrance fee 50D = 1 Euro), you get a good view over Banjul from the top floor balcony....More

Very good and interesting place to visit, free of charge by the way and who minds giving a tip for the worker who sits by the door at the end of your visit !!
