When I first visited the Museum in 2002 Nkrumah's statue was broken up and laying in a side yard. Now it is restored. The displays are still be bit dusty, but the variety of cultural artifacts is the best I've seen. If I remember correctly,...More

To be honest, my experience here was disappointing. I have visited many museums globally, but it was hard for me to tell exactly what was being showcased in this one.

Aside the old relics found in this national museum there is so much history to dig out. For those still in their youthful years my piece of advice is for them to pay a visit to this place. There is a narator/tour guide to send...More

I know you have to adjust expectation to where you visit but this is very poor. Don't bother visiting. The gallery was closed when I visited but you can tell from other exhibits it is a national embarrassment

It's worth a visit to learn about Ghanas history, even though it's not splendid in any way. A museum like many others. The museum is closed for renovation, hopefully it will be open soon and more developed.

The museum is closed for renovation. I went all the way only to come back as it is closed. There is no information when the same will be open. My suggestion will be call and confirm before going.

Sadly I can't rate this beautiful place... I read reviews from others and was really looking forward to experience it myself but sadly it was closed down for renovations. When next I am in Accra? It will my first port of call.
