The heart of the capital!

As part of the city centre, It won't be hard not to noticed the Medina..You can really feel the vibe of what's Libya's culture and tradition! Favorite spot is the Casa Cafe!

You can't come to Tripoli without visiting this place. You can find authentic traditional clothes, gold, jewelry and souvenirs. Cafe Casa in within walking distance and plenty of old cafes that offer shisha all over the medina. Enjoy the old buildings and beautiful atmosphere and end it with lunch or dinner at Tripolis restaurant.

The Zintain rule this lovely area of Tripoli. Escalation into full chaos, fraction fighting and the Taliban all rolled into one lovely adventure. God bless em and hopefully one day Tripoli will be back to normal.

Literally it is the Heart of the Tripoli, if you haven't been to Medina, you havent been to Tripoli. Hopefully one of those days, sooner rather than later it will be open for tourists again.

I love the Medina. So much to see and do. All in a friendly and hassle free atmosphere. The majority of North African countries I have visited I have always grown tired of the constant hassle from salesman/hawkers. Tripoli is totally different and I was able to spend hours in the Medina looking at everything for sale in my own... More

Loads of interesting little shops, I particularly like the copper beaters alley. Hidden away down there you will find some wonderful junk shops!. Be prepared to haggle and come away with a bargain. Awesome gold souk, go at night when the lights are on, stunning.

Busy and active medina. As tourism is scarce since the revolution, all the shops are oriented at the people of Tripoli, which of course makes it much more authentic. Full of colours.
