Etosha itself was just breathtaking, although very dry, the landscape and just being "africa " was awesome and seeing all those animals was truly great and the sunsets...there are just no words. The staff on the other hand on welcoming were abrupt and treated us like idiots, very really not impressed there, and i would recommend staying just outside the... More

This is just a general view of the Park, there is much more detail when you look at the different Camps in the area. Etosha Pan is huge, but you can drive from one side say on the East to the West and visa Vera's in one day seeing animals pretty much all the way, although most of the interest... More

Etosha National Park is an amazing expanse of a barren sand pan on one side and bush on the other. We visited in November before the rains. There are plenty of waterholes to explore where you may see a elephant, giraffe, southern oryx (gemsbok), kudu, springbok, hyena, ostrich, zebra, jackals and wildebeest all drinking together. There are also plenty of... More

I visited Etosha whilst on a tour with Wild Dog Safaris, we spent 2 days game driving and stayed at 2 of the campsites in the park. The game driving was absolutely amazing and we saw so many animals. The waterholes were a definite highlight, I could have sat there and watched the animals for hours. I was shocked at... More

Having visited many African countries we approqched Namibia and Etosha with knowledge and high expectations. We were treated to an unbelievable adventure. Scenery. Ever changing. Spectacular. Animals. Wow. Some advice. HIRE A 4WD. dirt road driving is a skilland we saw multiple accidents for the unskilled. It is safe to drive and safer in a 4wd with 4wd engaged. Those... More

This is a great park to see a lot of animals in their free wild life. To see how they are at a water whole or traveling with them on their long travels. Everything is possible. You can see a lot of different animals and you can come very close to them. Even though you need to take care, that... More

I have never experienced anything like Etosha. The waterholes were packed with game, and occasionally a lion was lying in a tree nearby. I have never seen so many different species at the same place at the same time. The drives between the waterholes could be long, and on a hot day, sitting in an open vehicle could be uncomfortable.... More

Etosha is quite different from other game parks that we have visited. As this is more of a desert region, you have to stay on the gravel roads and you'll find most of the animals at the man-made and occasional natural water holes (rather than taking a land cruiser off road and into the bush as we have done in...
