Had fun, with a friend. They have really gone an extra mile to make the place and everything about it real life. They have statues made from foam and they look so real, also collected original tools used by our people in the back days....More

This is a museum which gives you a good overview on Namibia's recent history and the independence struggle in particular. However it gives a single sided perspective. There are also mistakes in the paintings. An Impala plane for example was not in the Cassinga attack.

It is worth to visit this museum, which gives in-sigths in the traditional lives of different ethnic groups in Namibia as well as on nature. The display is however a bit messy.

Despite an rather old fashioned air in part, the ethnographic displays were useful displays of Namibia's peoples and traditional society. The natural history side also looked a bit dated but hard to say as the lights were not working. Namibia and ithe museums in its...More

Really interesting museum in Windhoek all about the indigenous communities such as the San, Herero, Himba and Nama. Lots of fascinating information - sometimes a bit too much to take in but it's well presented. Like a previous viewer, we found the plaster casting of...More
